Webguy Photos (Need help)

Hello Friends,

I was trying to check out webguy. I was wondering if I was at the right spot for seeing photos of Basic and other I-day happenings.

I went to USAFA.org - on the top heading I clicked on Parents then Webguy. It popped up a page. Is this where Photos will be posted. I believe I am logged in because at the top, there is a tab to click on to "Logout".

I'm just trying to make sure I don't miss out on anything. We joined the AOG and got membership card in the mail. Somewhere along the way I had to create a password for my account. So, I want to know if I'm on my way to possibly seeing photos soon.

I'm seeing the same thing but I believe you can get to the photos from the AOG site by selecting "For Parents" and then "Webguy". It's my understanding the photos will have a link from the Webguy page.

If anyone has different information, please correct me. Thanks.

Last year he would post a few pictures/videos in his blogs, and then there was a link along the side, I believe it was '"Webguy Pictures", where he would display all of them for full members only. It appears that the link is no longer there, but I believe they're redoing some things, so I'm sure some sort of link will be provided come I-Day. Not that I'll know...until at least 6 or 7 weeks later.

Did you register with the Webguy in addition to the AOG site? Your username and password for the AOG site will not get you to all of the Webguy photos. You will need a seperate username and password for the Webguy site. It is my understanding that you can call the AOG for more assistance with the registration process.

yea, i think i still need to register with webguy, because the link is the same site i've been going to and having absolutely no luck, thanks!

We were registared for 8 weeks and paid only for the 1 year membership. The hard to find fact is that if you want access to Webguy pictures you must sign-up and pay for the 4 year membership, otherwise you can see only a very limited amount of pictures. The process takes 2-4 days and you may have to call them to expedite the process. Once in, you'll be exposed to thousands of thumbnails/pictures. Good luck.

As far as I remember last year, he didn't take pix of Prep BMT. Of course, they could have changed that this year. Check with the AOG for the exact news on that.

Does any know how to save the big picture. When I save the picture it only saves it as the 3x3 size and I can not enlarge it again. Any help would be appriciated.

You can take a screenshot and crop it, that's what I do.

Well...with my mac I just drag it to the desktop, and it opens in full size. In fact, I have to "re-size" it smaller to email to family. But, can't you right-click on it and then "save as" to your desktop? Seems like I've seen this answered somewhere else.

What we do is right click on the small thumb nail picture and select open link in a new tab; this will enlarge it. Once it is large, right click on the picture and select save image as. That has worked for us. Hope it works for you! Give it a try and let me know if that works.

Well there is several ways but the easiest (if you don't have a Mac) is to use Microsoft Internet Explorer and when you open the large photo, move your mouse to the middle of the photo until it changes from a hand to a point. It should be perfectly centered then right-click and then Save Picture As.....

I hope this makes sense.

Just one more thing to add -- are you looking at the small, 40 to a page thumbnails? If so, PA Twin Mom has the way it SHOULD work. If you are looking at them by squadron, then they open in the "large" size automatically and you scroll down, one by one. That's why it seems like this should be an easy fix. If it still doesn't work, keep asking, because I'm sure we can figure it out!
