Can someone tell me the who, what, when, where, why and how about "WebGuy". I've read several posts stating that people saw many photos from BCT on WebGuy. How do you get it? What is the cost?:spy

www.usafawebguy.com is the where. I forgot how much it cost, but it is a parents membership in AOG(association of graduates). Webguy takes hundreds/thousands of pictures a day of our cadets while they are going through basic. He also writes out their daily schedule. I spent hours looking at the pictures, and have several pictures printed out of him during basic. It is wonderful to know what they are doing each day during basic, even if you don't find your child in the pictures. Check out the website, it may answer the rest of your questions. I am having trouble with Webguy's site. I can get on the site but it will not open the page that you need to go to in order to sign up for a parent's membership. Anyone else having any trouble with it?

I signed up over the summer when 2012 was going through. It was the free version, it didn't include most of the pics and videos. My parents are getting the full membership when I head out in June.

Last year, the AOG offered a 4 yr. membership for the cost of 3 yrs. ($160) The 4 yr. membership was required for access to all the pictures, forum, blog ,etc. It was my lifesaver as a parent getting through BCT. You get a great feel for what your basic cadet is doing, and most likely will get a candid shot every few days. I would wait to see what the price & requirements are for this year - plus not join for 4 yrs. before June so it will last through graduation in 2013!

I joined in March and received a letter in April from Don McCarthy of AOG that stated for the Parents of Class of 2013 "all memberships submitted prior to 31 May 2009 will have an automatic expiration date of 31 May 2013" so that the date of their membership coincided with the the graduation date for their cadets. My membership card has the May 31 2013 date, so I think you're okay if you join now. Price was $216/4 years if I remember correctly.

I am still having trouble with the Webguy site...... it will not let me have access to the page to get the 4 year parent's membership (which you have to have in order to have access to all the pictures). Anyone else having trouble with WebGuy?

I had trouble last week so emailed them about it and they said they have been having a problem but it should be fixed now. I was able to sign up and pay with a credit card this morning and it seemed to work ok.

Thanks for the reply..... someone actually called me from the AOG today. They told me the same thing......they are currently having problems with the site. He was able to help me sign up.

What will the password be for my parent's account? Did they send it with the card?

I believe you choose your own password.

We also signed up/paid the 4 yr parent membership fees in March. ID nor password were sent with the card. We just received an email earlier last week with logon ID and password for Webguy and have enjoyed looking at all the 2012 photos.
If you have received your card but have not received the email from AOG with login credentials, I might also suggest contacting Don McCarthy. I contacted him last week regarding a seperate question and he was most helpful.

I am so dissappointed that the WebGuy doesn't do anything with Preppies! Guess I will have to wait til next year to get pics!

God bless the Webguy. I hate to think of having to go through all that time without him! You spend hours going through pictures of kids that all look the same...is that lanyard red or orange?!!! LOL. But it's worth it when you spot your kid and can be sure it's him/her.

It helps a lot, and you can at least see what they're doing. He explains things, and there are sometimes daily schedules and videos.

My daughter also loved going back through them when she came back for Christmas break doolie year and seeing some of her old friends. They get redistributed into squadrons after BCT.

Dont forget you can copy the URL of images you spot of your cadet and when you comback to this forum everyday after the "wheres my cadet search" at webguy, you can upload to the gallery and/ or post in the discussion forums!! We would love to see your hard earned findings of your Cadets!

We received the AOG membership form with my son's processing packet. I joined when we went to orientation in April. I am sure they will help you--they were wonderful to talk to.

I was on another forum, and they said WEBGUY already had a video up. WHen I click on WEB guy on the AOG website, all that shows up is "Edit Account Information". Am I doing something wrong here?

I have the same problem, don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if there is nothing on to view yet. Someone please post to help us! Were are all on pins and needles dying to see something!

Jmogs, I clicked on the "Contact US" tab on the WEBguy page, and emailed them. They had to correct my account. But they did it quickly and now I have lots of pics, videos, etc.! Email them quick!

It is very slow to load because of such a heavy load on the site but it does load. If you haven't logged in to the site it will ask you to log in and then you can view the picts!
