All Holiday gatherings in our Family took place at my "Mama's" house. She was the matriarch of our family and everyone was sure to be there, even when we kids grew up and had families of our own. We would also have extended family and friends who would want to be at our dinner. We could have as many as 30 people at Mama's for Thanksgiving dinner, all spread out through out the house in Satalite tables that needed to be set up for lack of room at the head table!

Below is the Ecard I put together for the boys to tell them about Our SandyDog. I wanted to share here as there is a heart warming experience that came just at the right Time!

Last Night our Yellow Lab was found dead. EVen though she was very old, she was doing well and no real health issues or major detoriation!. It was a shock.

Sandy became a part of our lives on Christmas Day When Austin Was 9 and Luke was 7. The boys were so thrilled to open the lid of the wrapped box and see a lab pubby jump out!

Luke came up with the name Sandy becusee of the color of sand in her hair.

As of around August 22nd we became Empty Nesters! That was the day we moved our youngest son Luke into his dorm room on the "Country Club" Campus. Yes that is a smiley face you see. I guess he is not far enough away to be too upset! It is kinda nice not having to be on top of parenting duties.

Parenting was never that difficult as we have two pretty compliant children and they never did anything requiring major intervention. As least not anything that I am aware of!...
