Memorial Day Thoughts 2009

In a few hours I will once again continue the tradition of moving my family out to the Memorial Day parade and the Honor Guard Ceremony at the Cemetery. Our son, Levi will march with the Boy Scouts. The year before he was joined by his brother Andrew. We have never missed. I would not allow it. Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey and now here in Wisconsin. How I got this way, I do not know. I thank God for America with all its flaws. I am deeply moved by the history and the reality...
