'09 AFA Football Tickets and Important Info

Dear Cadets, Parents, and Incoming Class:

The 2009 Air Force Academy Football Season is fast approaching. This letter is to inform you of how to get your tickets for this year’s games before they go on sale to the general public. Current cadets, parents, as well as parents of the incoming Class of 2013, can order tickets for this year’s home games beginning Monday, June 15th at 9:00 MT. Tickets for all away games go on sale June 1, contact the Athletic Ticket Office for more information on away game tickets.

As is in the past, 1st and 2nd degree (Junior and Senior) cadets can receive a free reserved seat on the East side of Falcon Stadium to sit with their guests. When requesting cadet tickets, we will need their name(s) so we can verify enrollment and class year.

Below is the 2009 Air Force Academy Football team’s home schedule:

Group pricing (home games excluding Army):
- Orders of 20 or more tickets: Reserved Category - $20
Corner/End Zone Res. - $14
- Group pricing is not available for away games.

Group Ticket Application:
A group order application for tickets to home and away games can be found on our website, GoAirForceFalcons.com. This eliminates the need for the group leader to coordinate getting all of the payments together and allows each person the ability to order their own tickets within the group block from their own computer. Additionally, tickets will be mailed to each individual person, thereby eliminating the need for the group coordinator to distribute all of the tickets. To do this, the group coordinator needs to call the Athletic Ticket Office at 800-666-USAF and ask about completing a Group Ticket Application. Call today!

Payment is due at the time of the order. Just a reminder, once an order has been placed there are NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES. To place an order by phone beginning June 15th, please call 1-800-666-USAF or (719) 472-1895. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on July 1st, so order early!

What games Do any of you plan to attend?

I plan on going to

PW (A Given )
Utah Game at Utah
BYU Game at BYU

Should be Tailgate Parties planned by the UTAH Parnets club for the Two UTAH games. I will keep you posted when get near that time.

You will be required to attend all of the home games unless you are restricted for some reason.

Just to clarify...when I called the ticket office, I was told that tickets for the Parent's Weekend game would not go on sale until July 1. Has this changed, or is this information for the general public, and we can buy the tickets earlier if we have a cadet (June 15)?

June 15 – Individual home football game tickets on sale to parents and cadets

July 1 – Individual home football game tickets (all prices) on sale to general public

That sounds like a GREAT idea!! It will be great to put faces with names. Hubby and I have already had our rooms booked for PW, but we have recently found out that our cadet will be spending his first semester studying in China. We will really miss not being able to see him, go to classes, etc. his firstie year; but we will use the weekend as a mini get away. Remember the rollercoaster we are all on? Well, that was another one of the sharp turns and loop de loops. We are enjoying the ride and making the most of it. We can take in the football game, visit his sponsor family as well as family and friends. . . . . there is a lot to do in Colorado Springs (plus it's my hometown). Sorry I made this kind of long. . .

You sound like my kind of girl! Going to PW even though your cadet won't be there! How fun - I don't mean fun that he won't be there.........I mean fun that you'll go anyway.

Can the upper class cadets still come sit with their parents during the football game? Do you still order a free ticket for them?

Yes, just because plans go sour like lemons once in awhile doesn't mean you can't turn it into great tasting lemonade!!!! Sometimes you have to change your attitude and perspective on challenges that pop up at the "wrong" time. That's life -- you only live once, make the most of it. It's better to be happy than sad :cry2.
