FAQ: How do I get a Squadron Patch Image/Avatar

We have all the squadron patches made into avatars that you can use in your signature and/or your profile image so vistors can see what squadron you represent either as a cadet, Parent, former cadet etc....

This will be available to you and will magically appear in your user Control panel in Avatar section after you have made 10 post in to the forums!


Go to User CP and look left for "Edit Avatars" Click on that after 10 post and you will see all the patches!

Start posting so you can get your squadron patch.

OK I will begin to post

When I registared I was not asked any information about my Cadet so how do I end up with the correct Squadron Patch if it will magically appear after 10 postings how will it magically know my information. Apparently it is becoming apparent that I am not very forum literate. Help!!!!!!!

Hi skyblue,

I will have all 40 for you to choose form. So just pick the one for you cadet's squadron. They will appear in the edit avatar section of you user CP I hope that helps

(You actually go get it yourself...I thought it would magically appear but you have to go in and edit your profile and you'll see all 40 patches --then just choose Squadron 16! Have fun!

My son is in CS-31 - grim reapers. How do I get my patch?

Yeah cbplus4! It's so fun to go get it! To get your patch just go into your own profile (where you created your signature, etc..) and you'll see all 40 patches..but I know you only want that grim reaper!

Well I am not computer smart and I cannot figure out how to get my patch. Guess I should have warned you in the beginning what you were getting yourself into with me. I went to my profile but did not see the signature part. any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.

It's no problem at all! ....Okay....look at the top of the forum and you'll see all the little blue tabs. Click on the one that says: "User CP" Then on the left of the screen you will see a control panel. Go down to the third blue heading and it should be: "Settings and Options"--then you will see "edit Avatar". I'm sure the moderator can help if my directions are confusing! Good luck!

i found a section that said edit Avatar but my only choice was CS34. maybe it is my computer. Is the Edit Avatar section correct. If so I will try from my work computer.

Hi Skyblue--the moderator has set it up so you cannot get a Squadron Patch until you've posted 10 times. After your tenth post you will see ALL 40 patches. You're almost there!
