New Social Group - 2014 USAFA Parents

Eileen has created a new social group called "2014 USAFA Parents of Candidates/Nominee", with the following description:

This group is for the parents of the class of 2014 at the United States Air Force Academy.

To join this group visit the social groups homepage where this new group will be listed.

If you would like to join this group please click on my name to private message me and include:

Your name
Students Name
City and State
and your Air Force Liaison Officer assisting you

THEN when you logg on WATCH the notifications link right under your log on as the invite will come in as a notification. You can find the invitation to join by

1. clicking "your notification" in the welcome window on top of every page
2. go down to social group invitations and click on it
3. click on the 2014 Parent group
4. SCROLL DOWN
5. click on the 'join group' link just below the bottom of the threads.

Once you are a member it's easy to get back to the group

1. Click on the blue tab towards the top of the page that says GROUPS
2. then click on Social Groups
3. click on our group

Please look for the appointment or nomination thread and post an introduction with a name, and a state and any other info you are comfortable sharing when you are ready to start posting.

If you have not joined or been invited to this group then please PM Eileen by click on her name and letting her know.

There are some discussion going for planning meetups during Orientations times.

This will be your Class group for 2014 Parents and is a great way to get to know each other and support each other even before you Candidates go through the doors of USAFA.

I think some of you have already been invited but have not accepted the invitation. You can find the invitation to join by clicking "your notification" in the welcome window on top of every page

Here is the link with info on the class of 2014 Parent group formed already. It is for all 2014 parents and candidate Parents. When the Candidate go to I-day the name will be change to Class of 2014 Parents.

We still have over 30 2014 Parents that have been invited to this group but have not accepted the invite. here is a picture showing where to go to accept the invite

(If you already have 2014 Parent status under your name then I just need a request to join as you've already been verified.) The group is growing and with the help of avsum and afprincess and is becoming an awesome source of information and support.

Just want to let people know there may be a few days delay on my getting back to you. Storm last Monday night, besides frying "Touch Down Jesus" 'Touchdown Jesus' statue at Solid Rock Church on I-75 destroyed by lightning, fire | cincinnati.com | Cincinnati.Com also fried my modem, router and my COMPUTER! (Yes, it was on battery back up-the other 2 were on a surge protecter that is working fine-it seems to have come through my Time Warner DSL line.)

I am looking for a new computer etc but until I have it my access is limited.

go to user cp and go to edit details and it will be in the middle of the page. You may have to update your introduction at the same time...please let me know if you need any further help.

Also, by what Lark said, your name is in Blue so you should be able to get to spirit mission form. Again let me know if you can not and I will see if I can help you.

I switched your status to Parent so you now have access to the Parents private forum which is were the spirits mission stuff is. Go to forum home a scrolll down and see the whole new world that has opened up to you.

You can change your Title by following the direction that Jerri gave.
